The Yarra Yarra Catchment covers over 1.8 million hectares and contains a diverse selection of flora and fauna communities, including a number of threatened species. If you would like to know more about these communities/species there are various posters and information available at the office.

The Yarra Yarra Catchment extends from Dalwallinu across to Kalannie to the south, Carnamah and Three Springs to the West and extends north of Morawa and runs north-south along the agricultural line back down to Kalannie. (See map “About Us” tab)

We encourage all community groups and individuals to become involved in the Yarra Yarra Catchment Management Group, we have 4 meetings a year and anyone is welcome to attend.

We rely on the community to drive the direction of Yarra Yarra to ensure we provide the workshops and events that are relevant and useful to our region, that is where you can play your part. Pick up the phone or when you see us down the street let us know your thoughts and direction for our region, we may just know someone who can help or who can present on that particular topic and if not we will find out for you.

Throughout the year we hold various events:

  • Workshops/Field Days
  • Biodiversity and Sustainable Agricultural Projects
  • Bus Tours
  • Clean Up Australia Day
  • National Tree Day Event
  • Red Card Red Fox Event
  • 4 Newsletters per year
